The story

Strong momentum, but not enough clarity on where to focus.

SheShed is a fast-growing SME selling premium kitset cabins. The business already had strong momentum, but the leadership team lacked clarity around brand direction, marketing priorities and team structure. They were being pulled in multiple directions, making it difficult to focus resources and align around a clear growth path.

I stepped in as fractional CMO and worked closely with the leadership team to define the core brand positioning, explore opportunities for expansion, map the customer journey and build a clear funnel with conversion metrics. We also introduced company and team-level KPI tracking, reviewed the team structure and defined the roles needed to carry the strategy forward.

As part of the work, we developed the strategy for launching two additional brands for new customer segments: Aura, a luxury small-home solution for commercial estates and high-end accommodation, and Trekk, an affordable kitset shed range for budget-conscious customers.

The outcome

A clearer strategy for growth, and the structure to carry it forward.

The leadership team aligned around a clear growth strategy. SheShed had better visibility across the customer journey and business performance, expanded into new market segments through Aura and Trekk, and built the internal marketing capability needed to continue the work after my involvement ended.

01

Double-digit revenue growth within six months

Within six months, the business achieved double-digit revenue growth and could see exactly which activity was contributing to that growth.

02

Two new brands launched

Aura and Trekk were successfully launched, expanding the business into new market segments across luxury small homes and more affordable kitset sheds.

03

Clearer visibility across the customer journey

The team had a mapped customer funnel and conversion metrics, supported by a dashboard and KPI tracking system covering both business and individual team performance.

04

The capability stayed inside the business

The team was restructured, new marketing roles were introduced, and a senior marketing director was hired and fully onboarded to take over the strategy. Once that transition was complete, I stepped aside.

“There are a billion freelancers, marketing consultants, and people offering services, but Saskia is actually experienced in running and building businesses which makes her different. She gave us clarity on our brands, marketing structure, and customer journeys, and now we have a clear scoreboard and strategy for where the business is heading. I’d definitely recommend working with her If you are considering a Marketing FCMO, or need clarity in your business strategy”
